Blue Cubist Dancers
With this painting I wanted to create an abstract visual language by simplfying shapes to a cubist nature. The painted image is essentially a party bringing the energy and life of an event, simplifying it but still keeping the root of movement and life. It suggests a tribal nature of humanity that relates to all humans despite where they were born. It is a painting about balance, using geometric shapes rather than patterns to create a pattern.
Hand-painted in one colour, Moroccan blue, the colour of calm, the throat chakra, the ocean, the sky.
MEDIA: Blue emulsion
