Wish You Were Here

Being half Scottish this painting was a welcome commission.  I was asked to create a painting that combined Pink Floyd reference with the beautiful Scottish mountains.  Painted for Belladrum Tartan Heart music festival, the best music festival in Scotland. This 8m x 3m painting was hand-painted using acrylics on wooden boards, then mounted to an existing wall.
In the spirit of fiesta I painted figures leaping over the mountains.  This surreal landscape was created by layers of pattern-making.  A recurrent theme throughout my practice.
